I am a Family Nurse Practitioner with nearly 25 years experience in healthcare. I began my journey into healthcare as a patient. In 1995 I was hospitalized for two months with pregnancy complications. The nurses who cared for me were AMAZING and I knew from that point on I wanted to care for others.
I started my journey as a Registered Medical Assistant in 1997. I then earned my Associates of Science in Nursing (ASN) from Pensacola State College in 2002, becoming a Registered Nurse (RN). I received my Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2014. I graduated from the Dual Track Nurse Practitioner program at University of South Alabama with my Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) in 2018. I was trained as both a Family Nurse Practitioner and Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. I am Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
I have 20 years clinical experience as a bedside nurse, with over 10 years practicing in the Neuro/Trauma ICU, earning national certification in critical care (CCRN).
As a Nurse Practitioner, my experience includes Infectious Diseases, Emergency Medicine, and Internal Medicine.
I am a mother of three amazing children and a GiGi to two beautiful grand babies.
